This portal was created to help practitioners implement people-centered approaches, through sharing resources, providing support and promoting learning and knowledge-sharing.
The resource library allows everyone to access and share policies, standards, guidance, case studies and tools by thematic areas and phases of the humanitarian programme cycle, rate them and leave comments. It includes resources from IASC members and non-IASC members (please note the responsibility for this content lies with the contributing organization).
The service directory gives an overview of available expertise on accountability and inclusion across organisations, to support the implementation of people-centered approaches.
The helpdesk offers rapid advice and support from thematic experts on AAP, PSEAH and Inclusion.
The portal is brought to you by IASC Task Force 2 on Accountability to Affected People (formerly RG2 on Accountability & Inclusion). Chaired by the CHS Alliance, IFRC and WFP and reporting to the IASC Operational Policy and Advocacy Group, the Task Force comprises of local NGOs, International NGOs, the UN, Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and others.
The Task Force aims for more accountable and inclusive responses – those that encourage active participation of all affected people, inclusive of their gender, age, disability and other diversities, welcome and listen to their feedback and complaints without fear of exploitation or abuse by any aid worker, and provide information to enable them to make informed decisions about their own lives.
